Update from our previous blog post regarding charitable donations to Haiti: Congress has passed a law allowing all charitable donations to Haiti made before 3/1/2010 to be deducted from last years, 2009’s, tax return. That would be the tax return due on 4/15/2010.

Revelation: 107 Died in Immigrant Detention Last 6+ Years!

Through a Freedom of Information Act request, the American Immigration Lawyers Association obtained a list of the 107 immigrant detainees who died in Immigration & Customs Enforcement custody from October 2003 to the present. The most frequent cause of death was “illness.”
